The international airport of Brussels is a micro-cosm where many worlds co-exist and collide.
During a 4 month period the production crew pretty much lived on the airport, capturing the funny, stressy, heartwarming and dream-shattering stories of the those employed on the airport, and the passengers who are passing by.

In episode 2 there is the Swedish lad Alex who had had too much to drink and is refused flight by the captain, leaving him with an extra day in Brussels. His only concern is to get to Gambia in time for his wedding.
Border patrol officer Dirk is searching for a Lebanese family with 4 children who, in his opinion, just use the brussels airport to seek an opportunity to apply for political asylum in Belgium. It turns out that they have sold their house & car, and borrowed 10.000 US $ from family to make the trip.
